OUR MISSION
The mission of the church is to glorify God through love, by reaching lost souls with the gospel of grace, and by training believers to resemble Jesus, the Christ.

The vision of the church is to strengthen families in Godly living to build a healthy community.
OUR PURPOSE
The purpose of this church is to worship and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Bible and information about the Christian faith to as many people as possible. The church exists by the grace of God, for the glory of God, which shall be the ultimate purpose in all its functions; the church glorifies God by loving Him and obeying His commands through:

equipping the saints through biblical instruction and study

proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ through preaching and personal evangelism

encouraging and supporting missionary work

administering the ordinance of baptism and communion

encouraging biblical fellowship

serving others in the name of Jesus Christ

calling fellow churches to biblical faithfulness and purity
OUR HISTORY
After heeding the call to begin “Doing a New Thing, the Old Way,” Pastor Jon Matthews of Saint Petersburg, Florida, began teaching a small group of Sunday school members out of his home. Through the drawing of the Holy Spirit, this faithful few grew beyond what Pastor Matthews’ home could accommodate. Therefore, in obedience to God’s calling on Pastor Matthews’ life, fervent love for God’s word and compassion for His people, New Philadelphia Worship Center was established as a new church plant in South Saint Petersburg, Florida in the fall of 2013.
